AirSleuth-Lite is a PC-based, 2.4GHz Spectrum Analyzer. It is a simple diagnostic tool that provides
mobile, site-survey information to simplify optimal configuration of wireless networks, proper location
of RF devices, and aids in identifying potential sources of interference.
AirSleuth-Lite differs from
the professional version in that only one diagnostic view is displayed -- the Traces view. The Traces
view displays a real-time plot of RF signal strengths versus
frequencies in the 2.4 GHz range
(see our Screenshots
page).
The AirSleuth-Lite 2.4 GHz Spectrum Analyzer can be used for:
Optimally installing and maintaining wireless networks (WLANs).
Trouble-shooting poor-performing wireless networks by detecting the presence of RF interference.
When combined with your favorite 802.11 discovery utility, the two work to provide a powerful
diagnostic tool for setting-up and trouble-shooting wireless networks.
Included in the AirSleuth-Lite package is a USB wireless device, the
AirSleuth-Lite application and
installation programs on CD, and instructions. Also, the latest version of the program can
be downloaded from our
Products page.
AirSleuth-Lite runs on Windows 98, 2000, XP and Vista and does not require Windows .NET Framework. Its
CPU and memory requirements are minimal, allowing you to revitalize old laptops and convert them
into dedicated spectrum analyzers.
AirSleuth-Lite is available with either a PCMCIA or USB wireless
device -- your choice. The PCMCIA version comes with an
external 5 dBi antenna that attaches to the PC Card's MMCX
connector.
